Doing What You Have to & Paying the Bills

All this talk about finding your "dream job" is great but what about what happens on the road to finding the perfect career? Sometimes you just have to pay the bills. This is a situation I am very familiar with. Here are some questions I've asked myself in this situation: 

 What do I need to launch my career? Are there any certifications or trainings I need?

Who can I talk to? Find a mentor. Ask them every question about your desired profession under the sun.

How long is this going to take? Plan your exit strategy. Create clear doable action steps that will allow you pay your bills and transition into your ideal career.
